"BUCKY" Burr Bucky was born in May of 1991 in Kentucky.  He came into our family in May of 1993 from a Greyhound rescue group in Michigan.  We have now changed groups to GEM of Michigan as they seem to do a lot more for the greys.  Bucky was diagnosed with a brain tumor on July 25, 2000.  The doctors at MSU said he had 3 months to a year to live.  Well, it has been over a year and he is doing GREYT!  He lost hearing in one ear, but other than that he seems to be in no pain.  He loves rawhides as you can see he is holding a rawhide frisbee in his month in the picture.  (It lasted about two hours!)  I hope he continues to do good and stays with us for many more years to come.  Bucky has two human step-brothers that he is wonderful with.  In the future, we hope to always have greyhounds in our lives.  "Once you go "grey" you never go back!
