"Thorin" Capacette

Thorin, my #1 Grey will be turning eight next month.  I adopted him in September of 1993.  Soon after adopting him, I discovered Lure Coursing and NOTRA racing.  His performance in these venues was nothing less than astounding.  In 1994 ha placed #4 in the country in NOTRA.  In 1995, he was the National Champion.  In 1996, he placed #2 in the country.  In 1995 he won his Field Championship title in ASFA Lure Coursing.  In 1995 and 1996, he was the Iron Dog Champion.  A three day NOTRA and ASFA Lure Coursing trial.  Also .in 1995 and 1996, he won the Juliette Cup.  A two day lure coursing elimination trial/event.  He is now completely retired from competition and has become a Therapy Dog and visits convalescent centers and hospitals on a regular basis. He has been dubbed the Greyhound Adoption Ambassador and the Greyhound Poster Child by a number of adoption groups because of his exuberant, outgoing personality.   I feel truly blessed to have him in my life and only regret not having learned about Greys sooner.  Everyone that has ever met him has fallen completely in love with him.
